Brief:
I was asked to invite a contemporary designer to OU School of Art Department of Graphic Design's to serve as the 2007 Visiting Design Critic. The department of Graphic Design was deeply rooted in the swiss-international style of the 1970's and 1980's. Ms. Gonzales-Crip's Deco-rational project was a stunning presentation and generated a stimulating and critically engaged dialouge for both students and faculty. As part of the poster design I continued my interest in hand-manipulated typography. In this example, projection and photography were introduced, and once again I limited the poster design to a 4 hours.
